NorData · Data platform from Disrupting IT

Norwegian data. Ready for whatever you want to build.

NorData gives you access to structured company data and climate data through APIs, ready to use in your own solutions and AI tools. Build a new service, enrich the systems you already have, or give your AI assistant a better foundation of data.

01 · Benefits

Spend your time on the solution. Not on collecting data.

A good idea needs a good foundation of data. With NorData, you get registry data collected, structured and enriched for further use. That leaves more of your time for what you actually want to make.

01

Data in your own systems

Use company information to fill in customer records, check registrations or enrich a CRM system.

02

A foundation for new services

Build your own search, analysis and workspaces around the information your customers need.

03

More context for AI

Let your AI assistant fetch relevant information as a basis for questions, summaries and further work.

02 · Access

Use the data where you already work.

You shouldn't have to commit to one particular way of working. NorData has guidance for API integration, AI assistants, Power BI and AI-assisted development.

  1. REST API
  2. MCP
  3. Power BI
  4. AI-assisted development
01

In your own systems and applications

Fetch structured data through REST APIs that return JSON. Use them in an existing solution, or as the basis for a new product.

02

In your AI assistant

Connect to NorData via MCP to use the data from Claude, ChatGPT or another compatible client. Ask questions in your own words, and let the assistant help find and compile information.

03

In Power BI

NorData can be used as a data source in Power BI. Put external data alongside your own figures, and build reports around the questions you need answered.

04

When you build with AI

The portal has a ready-made instruction that helps your coding assistant understand the API and handle the API key correctly. Use it as a starting point when developing with, for example, Cursor, Claude or Replit.

05 · Questions

What you might be wondering.

Is NorData a search service or a data platform?

Both: NorData has a ready-made lookup service and APIs for using data in other tools and systems. Choose the lookup service when you want to find information on screen, and the data platform when the information is to be used further.

Do we need our own developers?

Not for every use case: NorData also has guidance for AI assistants and Power BI. If you are building your own application or integration, you should have someone who can develop, test and maintain the solution.

What do API and MCP mean?

An API lets one system fetch data from another. MCP is a standard that lets compatible AI assistants use external data sources and tools; NorData offers both forms of access.

Can we use the data in a service we build ourselves?

NorData is designed so you can build your own solutions on the data. Check the terms for the API in question, and clarify the use if your service will offer data on to others.

Next step

What will you build with the data?

Start with a need you know: better customer information, simpler lookups or an entirely new service. Find the data you need, and try it in the solution you want to make.
